Holland

Holland

For many travelers Holland is windmills, wooden shoes and tulips. This low lying country is a myriad of vibrant cities and rural delights filled with canals, bicycles and the incredible art of the Dutch Masters. Many citizens of The Netherland speak and read as many as four, five or six languages, ranking them among the most linguistically talented cultures in the world. Truly Holland is a Dutch treat.

THE  DIARY OF ANNE FRANK

 by Anne Frank

"It’s a wonder I haven’t abandoned all my ideals, they seem so absurd and impractical. Yet I cling to them because I still believe, in spite of everything, that people are truly good at heart.

"It’s utterly impossible for me to build my life on a foundation of chaos, suffering and death. I see the world being slowly transformed into a wilderness, I hear the approaching thunder that, one day, will destroy us too, I feel the suffering of millions. And yet, when I look up at the sky, I somehow feel that everything will change for the better, that this cruelty too shall end, that peace and tranquility will return once more.

Artisans at work

There is something truly appealing about traveling to another country to watch craftspeople work in traditional settings. Somehow  literature and history seem to leap off the page when we can journey back through time hundreds of years ago.

Amsterdam

Not only is Amsterdam a city of canals, it also features delightful architecture along its shores. The narrow houses, picturesque churches, colorful barges and quaint bridges give Amsterdam unique old world charm.

Keukenhof's Fabulous Tulips

The breathtaking Keukenhof Gardens is one of those destinations where it is impossible to describe the experience. The vast fields of tulips must be personally seen so that you, too, can enjoy the difficulty of finding the proper words to describe them.

Rural Peaceful Countryside

Holland is a verdant country filled charming canals and rural vistas that create a sense of tranquility for visitors. Take time to savor the serenity.

Windmils

Holland's windmills are world famous and they are especially appealing when seen in the lush countryside surrounded by grazing sheep.

The Canals of Amsterdam

Amsterdam is a city on the water with numerous canals, bridges and bicycle- lined streets. Among its charming aspects are the colorful houseboats and barges that line the shores of the canals.
